The weather is just awesome overhere at the moment...I wish it would be like this all year long...and not too hot again in the summer (ok, we didn't have a proper summer last year...so I secretly wish for some humid days with high temperatures, but just some...no heatwaves please;) ).

I recall an early spring like this a few yea5rs ago (4 or 5?)...I've been to an animal park in Ijsselburg back then and it was just awesome...hardly any green on the trees, but superwarm and sunny.

I love your veggie patch, even though it's currently looking kind of bare still :) We've had tomato plants for several years now and one strawberryplant, then last year I added some large tubs in which I planted some more veggies: red beets, brocolli, cauliflower and 3 different colors of paprikas. I loved it, it was so much fun to watch it grow and even more fun to cook dinner with. Just too bad somehow the paprikas didn't really grow many and the cucumber didn't get any further then awesome flowers and tiny innimini cucumbers that were never edible heh. I'm going to plant some new stuff this year, and can't wait till we move to the new house as we'll have a larger garden then and I'm planning a real veggie patch then. :)

I haven't quite decided yet what to plant this year. I'd love some lettuce but we have an infestation of slugs here every year and I worry the lettuce will simply end up being slug fodder. Definitely going to try get me some brocolli again, and green cauliflower, and would like some other veggies as well, green beans maybe? S. wants to try his hand at potatoes, and we'll definitely also will have cherry tomatoes again (those have become a tradition for us, ever since we got together we've had those heh).

My mum is coming by tomorrow to do some gardening, she found several bags of bulbs that she forgot to plant earlier lol so they're going in very last minute. We may go to the garden center as well - though not 100% sure they're open on Sunday (think so). Every year we also get some anual flowering plants, and I want to try get those in a little early this year so that I can take the pics for our sales brochure soon. We really have to put our house up for sale asap now that we know when we'll get the keys of the new place - I'm worried otherwise we'll be running out of time heh. And a nice looking garden is always a plus imho!

Oh, I want to try it with potatoes next year too:). We used to have lots of potatoes like 20 years ago...they were so much better than the ones you can buy :).
